CHG-4: Satisfaction of Charge
Prepare the details for reporting to the ROC that a loan secured by a registered charge has been repaid.
What it is
When a loan secured by a registered charge is fully repaid or the charge is otherwise satisfied, the company intimates the Registrar in Form CHG-4 under Section 82 of the Companies Act, 2013 read with Rule 8 of the Companies (Registration of Charges) Rules, 2014. The form gives the charge ID, the original amount, the dates of creation and satisfaction, and is supported by the lender's no-dues or satisfaction letter. The Registrar then records the satisfaction in the register of charges.
