Practice Philosophy

SKAG and Associates is a Chartered Accountancy practice based in Mahavir Enclave, New Delhi, founded with a focused brief: to serve small and medium enterprises, start-ups, professionals and individuals through diligent, ethically anchored, technically sound work. The name SKAG stands for the four principles that guide every engagement — Skill, Knowledge, Accountability and Governance.

The firm operates strictly within the framework of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). This is not just a regulatory observance but an active commitment. Engagements are accepted only where the firm can deliver with independence; certificates and reports carry valid Unique Document Identification Numbers (UDIN); and client information is handled under the confidentiality requirements of the ICAI Code of Ethics.

Areas of Practice

The firm provides services across the four core verticals of professional practice in India:

• Audit & Assurance — statutory audit under the Companies Act 2013, tax audit under Section 44AB, GST audit and reconciliation, internal and concurrent audits.
• Direct Taxation — income-tax return filing for individuals and entities, TDS/TCS compliance, advance-tax computation, tax planning, and representation before assessing officers and appellate authorities.
• GST & Indirect Taxation — new registrations, monthly and annual returns, refund applications, input tax credit reviews, and departmental audit support.
• Company Law & ROC — incorporation of companies and LLPs, annual filings (AOC-4, MGT-7), DIR-3 KYC, DPT-3, MSME-1, board resolutions and event-based filings.
• Accounting & Outsourcing — book-keeping, MIS, payroll processing, statutory dues compliance, and cloud-accounting setup.
• Advisory & Registrations — MSME / Udyam, trademark, FSSAI, IEC, Shop & Establishment, project reports and start-up structuring.

How the Firm Works

Every engagement is led personally by the Proprietor. There is no off-shored review queue or junior-handled deliverable. This means clients deal with the same Chartered Accountant from initial discussion through delivery of the signed report, ensuring continuity of judgement and uniformity of standard.

Work is governed by a written engagement letter agreed before commencement, in line with ICAI requirements. Scope, deliverables, timelines and fees are stated upfront. Fees are determined by the nature and complexity of the work and are not published publicly — consistent with ICAI’s guidance on professional ethics.

Communication is structured. Routine correspondence runs over email and a secure document exchange; sensitive matters are discussed by call or in person. Statutory deadlines are tracked centrally and clients receive reminders well in advance, so filings are timely and predictable.

Geographic Practice

The office is located on the main road of Mahavir Enclave, Palam (opposite Yamaha Showroom) — easily accessible from Dwarka, Palam, Dabri and the broader South West Delhi region. While the practice is rooted in Delhi-NCR, digital service delivery enables PAN-India engagements. Audit fieldwork, hearings and physical meetings are arranged on a need basis.
