Accessibility statement

SKAG and Associates wants everyone to be able to read this website and use its tools, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, magnification or voice control.

Our target

The website aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. WCAG explains how to make web content usable by people with a wide range of disabilities. We regard the website as partially conformant: most content meets the standard, and the known gaps are listed below.

What we do

Pages use headings in order, one main heading per page, landmarks for the header, navigation, main content and footer, and a language setting of English (India).
Menus, links and form controls can be reached with a keyboard, and focus is shown. The mobile menu and dialogs close with the Escape key.
Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; decorative images are hidden from screen readers.
Form fields have visible labels, and errors are described in text, not by colour alone.
Text can be resized to 200% and the layout adapts to screens as narrow as 320 pixels without sideways scrolling.
Some calculators and tools announce their results in a live region, so screen readers read out the result when it changes. We are extending this to the rest.
Pages are checked with automated tests (headings, text alternatives, links, page titles and descriptions) when they change, and new tools are tried with a keyboard and on phone-width screens.

Known limitations

PDF files, such as the compliance calendar PDF and guides sent by email, may not be fully tagged for screen readers. Ask for the content in another format using the contact details below.
Wide tables on some guides and tool results scroll sideways on small screens. The content is the same, but it can be harder to follow with magnification.
Generated documents (Word and PDF files from the document templates) follow the structure you fill in, and headings in them may not always be marked up as headings.
Colour contrast of some small labels and badges may be below the 4.5:1 ratio in places. We are reviewing these.
Result announcements: not every calculator yet announces its result to screen readers when it changes; move to the result area to read it.
Embedded content from others, such as the Google map on the contact page and videos on external platforms, is outside our control and may not meet the standard.
The AI chat assistant is keyboard accessible, but long answers can be read out in full when they arrive. The same information is available on the website pages.

Getting content in another format

If you cannot use any part of the website, or need a page, checklist or document in another format (for example large print, plain text or an accessible Word file), email gaurav@skagandassociates.com or call +91 88022 54567. Please tell us the page address and what you need. We aim to reply within five working days.

Reporting a problem

If you find something on this website that is hard to use, please let us know by email at gaurav@skagandassociates.com, with the page address, what you were trying to do, and the device, browser and any assistive technology you were using. We treat accessibility problems as defects to be fixed.

Technical information

The website relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Pages can be read without JavaScript; calculators, the site search and the document generator need it. The site is tested on recent versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge on desktop and mobile.

Review of this statement

This statement was prepared on 26 September 2026 from a review of the website against WCAG 2.2 level AA by SKAG and Associates, using automated checks and manual testing. It will be reviewed when the website changes significantly, and at least once a year.
