CHG-1: Particulars for Registration of a Charge
Prepare the particulars of a charge created over the company's assets, for registration with the ROC in Form CHG-1.
What it is
When a company creates a charge, such as a mortgage or hypothecation, on its assets to secure a loan, it must register the charge with the Registrar under Section 77 of the Companies Act, 2013 in Form CHG-1 (Form CHG-9 for debentures). Registration gives notice to others and protects the lender in a winding up. This template prepares the particulars: date of creation, instrument, amount secured, type and rank of charge, charge holder, assets and terms.
