What changed
For exports made on or after 1 October 2026, export value must be realised within 9 months, or 12 months where the export is invoiced in Indian rupees. For goods sent to an overseas warehouse, the period runs 9 months from the date of sale. SEZ and EOU units get the same period as other exporters. A single Export Declaration Form (EDF) covers goods, services and software from the same date.
