What it is
Section 12 of the Companies Act, 2013 requires every company to have a registered office. A change within the local limits of the same city, town or village can be made by a board resolution. Moving outside those limits needs a special resolution of members, and moving to the jurisdiction of another Registrar within the same State needs confirmation from the Regional Director.
