Frequently Asked Questions

Do the income tax tools reflect the Income Tax Act, 2025?
The Income Tax Act, 2025 applies from 1 April 2026. Tool pages note the tax year or financial year they cover and, where relevant, the new section references, such as the TDS payment codes under Section 393. Check the period stated on each tool before using the result.
Are the results from the income tax tools final?
No. Each tool gives an indicative figure using a simplified view of the law. It does not factor in every surcharge, exception, special provision or recent notification, so verify the result against the Act, rules and notifications on the Income Tax Department website before acting.
Do I need to sign up to use these tools?
No. The tools can be used without creating an account or signing up. You enter your own figures on each tool page and the result is shown on screen. Nothing on these pages is a substitute for professional advice on your specific facts.
